Randy is an orthopedic surgeon, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, and Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai Medical School in New York City. He is currently practicing at the Institute for Spine and Scoliosis in Princeton NJ. Prior to private practice, Randy served as Medical Director of spinal cord injury program at Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. In this role, Randy pioneered the care of children and youth with SCI, and served as Principal Investigator on studies that led to best practice for management neuromuscular scoliosis, hip subluxation and dislocation, and upper extremity impairment. Randy was instrumental in transferring FES technology into pediatric spinal cord injury research and practice He served on the BOD of the American Spinal Injury Association, and was the President of the Scoliosis Research Society. His expertise and passion is in caring for children with pediatric spinal conditions including SCI.
